Unique Halloween Invitation
Creating a Unique Halloween Invitation
If you want to throw an exciting and different Halloween
party, creating a unique Halloween invitation is often a
good start. After all, it’s likely that the people you
are inviting to your Halloween party have been invited
to several others as well. If you want them to come to
yours, you’ll want to do something with the invitation
that really catches their attention and makes them think
that your party will have something to offer that the
others do not. How you go about this is entirely up to
you and limited only by your imagination and your
budget. Flashier and more imaginative invitations will
cost more to make than average ones, but the difference
will definitely be noticeable.
Of course the question that automatically will arise is
something like “how do I make a unique Halloween
invitation?” It’s a good question and the answer is
that, in order for the invitation to be unique, it must
come from you, one hundred percent. That’s not to say
that you can’t take inspiration from other sources.
A good place to start looking is on the internet. Do a
Google search for Halloween invitations and take a look
at what the professionals are offering their customers.
Then just go from there. You don’t want to completely
copy these ideas because, besides being illegal, it
won’t be an original or unique Halloween invitation if
you just lift someone else’s idea off the web.
Once you have a premise that you want to explore, jot
down some ideas about it. What do you think could have
made the invitation better or more attractive than it
was? What would you like to be able to do with the
invitation’s design that wasn’t being done already?
Don’t worry about the feasibility of your ideas at this
point. If it turns out that something is impossible to
do, you can scratch the idea later. Some of the best
design ideas come from saying “well, we can’t do idea X
because of this or that reason, but if we change it to
idea Y, it just might work.” In this way you will be
able to develop a unique Halloween invitation with the
inspiration from an existing design.
Also, once your party is over and done with, don’t toss
all the invitations that weren’t used. Keep them, along
with your notes from the design process and save them
for next year. You won’t want to use the exact same
design next time around, but you’ll have a good starting
point for another round of brainstorming.
The ideas that you had but did not use can be
implemented next time around or built upon at that
point, allowing your creativity to flow all that much
more freely when you’re designing the invitation for
next year’s party. You’ll want to be able to do this
because once you’ve come up with a completely unique
Halloween invitation, you’ll pretty much be expected to
do so for every event you host.
